Things to do in Kalamunda

Kalamunda sits at the top of the Darling Scarp, about 30 minutes east of the city, and it’s one of the best day trips in Perth. The Zig Zag Scenic Drive up from Gooseberry Hill is a favourite with drivers, cyclists and motorcyclists alike, and the view over the whole city from the top is worth the trip on its own.

The town has a proper village feel. The Bibbulmun Track starts here, Lesmurdie Falls is at its best after winter rain, and the Kalamunda History Village and Stirk Park are good stops with kids. The orchards and cellar doors of the Bickley Valley are 10 minutes further on, and the Kalamunda Night Market runs on Friday evenings over summer.
